Its been over two months since Google released Android Oreo and so far only a handful of devices have got their hands on to it. Recently, OnePlus 3 and 3T received the OTA update for Android Oreo and it unlocked a lot of new features for both the phones.
AndroTrix made a very comprehensive video of the new features of Android Oreo for OnePlus 3T, you can watch it from the video linked below.
Although it comes with many new features, there’s one thing which is absolutely terrible in the Oreo update, i.e. the new Android Oreo Emojis. For some reason, Google thought that the current emojis weren’t good enough and needed a new update. So they went ahead and changed it. And to be honest, not everyone liked it.
But Android OS has always been customizable and you can easily swap the new emojis for the good old ones found on the iPhone. That is because AndroTrix has got a trick up their sleeves. Checkout the trick below(The video in the link will automatically start from the emoji part):
In order to change the emojis, you’ll first have to root your device. If you don’t know what it means, we suggest you to not watch the video and do not try to do the steps given below.
Steps to root the device may vary for each device. If you want to know steps for your device, you can tweet AndroTrix about it with your device name and Android Version.
So if you are having a rooted device. Please follow the steps given below to change make your emojis look like iPhone Emojis.
- Download Emoji changer.
- Grant Root access.
- Click on the smiley and select the emoji you want to replace it with. For now, we’ll be selecting iOS 11.1 BETA 2
- Let it install and then reboot the device!
