Five reasons for you not to skip Legs Day
‘Don’t skip legs day ever’ – Aren’t you tired of hearing this statement every now & then. Majority of us really don’t look forward to leg day (I know I don’t). But believe me, you really don’t want to be that person who is strutting around the weights room, unnoticed from the waist down flexing your skinny legs.
If you’re that person who considers Leg Day as the feared day of the week then not to worry as you won’t after reading the 5 reasons why you shouldn’t skip the leg day below.
1. Legs Day helps to build more muscle
Yes, the variations in your leg workout not only helps you get your lower body in shape but also build more muscle. Testosterone is a steroid hormone that is naturally produced in your body and plays a key role in the health of men, helping increase the growth of muscle mass and strength. Squats being the most important exercise for building the quadriceps & thigh muscles must be done right.
2. Legs Day improves Cardio & Core performance
Most of the leg workout variations are composite movements, which means the engagement of many muscle groups happens through it. Squats, for example, occupy your quads, hamstrings, glutes, inner and outer thighs, of course, but they also really activate your core. Being said that, your form of doing squats & strength you hold doing legs workout are two most important factors otherwise you could end up like this.
3. Legs Day helps to boost running performance
If you are the runtastic person who also runs with a vision then you should never miss a leg day as muscular legs not only gives you a strong back and core but they also provide you with the strength one need’s for a good running form, just like the Forest Grump.
4. Of Course, Weight Loss
Most of you don’t know that gluteus maximus (also known as your backside) is the largest muscle in your body. Exactly, I would suggest it would be best not to tell your girlfriend the same as she won’t take it as a compliment.
Not to worry though, as it turns out that there is a good news about your buttocks. The more you work on them, the more effort you require to move them. This just means that your body will require more calories to burn them.
5. People won’t call it Chicken legs.
Seriously, please don’t skip the Leg workout. It doesn’t look good.
